Back in 2015, Australian maverick director George Miller took a lot of people by surprise by releasing Mad Max: Fury Road, a much belated fourth entry into his vehicular action-centric Mad Max series, which was quickly hailed as one of the best action movies of all time. Fury Road introduced both Olivia Tjon-A-Meeuw and me, and, we suspect, many others as well, to the "Road Warrior" Max Rockatansky – which is why we thought it was high time sit down and watch the three films that came before. And lo and behold: they are also extremely good!
